Mental Health is a Skill

A lot of people just assume that mental health is one of those things that you have or you don’t.

It’s true that some people just have a chemical imbalance in their brain. There isn’t a lot you can do to change that.

But everyone can improve their situation.

It’s a skill that you can learn.

Public schools don’t teach these skills.

In our society, we wait until the mental health of a person is in crisis before we teach them the skills to manage their mind.

WHAT. That’s ridiculous.

Life coaching is about teaching you the skills to manage your mind. Everyone needs these skills, not just people in crisis.

Have you ever felt like you could use some help but you don’t need therapy?

You would feel silly calling up the psychiatrist or therapist and saying, “Hi, my kids are super annoying and I don’t want to feel like that anymore, can you help me?”

We don’t think it’s a big enough problem to reach out and get help. We think we should be able to handle it ourselves.
